In May 2024, The Chamber of Commerce and its partners held its annual Lemonade Day Youth Market. This event encourages children from schools in the area to continue to learn important lessons from its program materials. This program is more than just a lemonade stand, it teaches important life and business skills that the younger generation can use now and in the future. Prior to the youth market, the students were encouraged to come up with a product to sell and create profit. They began to brainstorm and come up with their own ideas either by themselves or with business partners. On the day of the youth market, the students began selling their products they made. It was a great success and all groups combined made over $2000 in profits. The market was a great experience for everyone, and we are already looking forward to our next Lemonade Day.
