• Accounting Instructor/Program Coordinator, Tenure Track for Fall 2025

    Description:  Instructor/Program Coordinator in Accounting, Tenure Track, 9-Month Contract paid over 12 months.  The position begins with the Fall 2025 Semester.

    Position Summary:  IVCC is seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and highly energetic person to teach and assess student learning in accounting courses, including Fundamentals of Accounting, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, QuickBooks-Pro Accounting, Payroll Accounting, Certified Bookkeeper Review, Tax Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I and II, and Let’s Talk Business as part of a Learning Community with Introduction to Business.  Develop and promote accounting curriculum designed both as transfer courses to four-year colleges/universities, and applied degree programs, as appropriate.  In collaboration with colleagues, be responsible for ongoing curriculum evaluation and improvement within the context of IVCC's general education philosophy.  Facilitate student learning outside of the classroom through participation in student activities, college, and community events; and participate in student recruiting events.  Serve as Program Coordinator for the Accounting Program. 

    Qualifications:  Master’s degree in Accounting OR a Master's degree in a related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in Accounting from an accredited college/university required.  Teaching experience at the college level in Accounting preferred.  Online teaching experience preferred.  Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the community college.  Previous experience with Smart classroom technology is a plus. 
     
    Working Conditions:  Office and Classrooms at main campus in Oglesby, the Ottawa Center, and extension sites
