About Us

Illinois Valley SHRM, which is comprised of local human resources and business professionals, typically holds presentations on the third Wednesday of each month addressing current topics and trends in the human resources industry. ALL SESSIONS ARE CURRENTLY VIRTUAL for 2022! Sessions are typically pre-approved to count toward professional recertification hours for certified members.

Annual membership dues are $25 for national SHRM members ($50 for non-SHRM members). After July 1, annual membership dues are $12.50 for national SHRM members ($25 for non-SHRM members). Student dues for SHRM members with a valid student id/proof of enrollment are $5 annually ($10 for students who are non-SHRM members).

Interested professionals may attend one chapter meeting annually as a guest (free for virtual sessions) unless the meeting is announced as an open event. Illinois Valley SHRM (Chapter #0596) is the local affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management. Whether you are new to the HR field or have many years of experience, we are a local starting point for networking, information, professional development and continued support of excellence in human resources. The chapter welcomes both human resources and non-human resources professionals from all industries, experience levels and backgrounds.
